Backing up NOKIA phone contents on the PC

With Content Copier you can do the following:
• Back up data such as calendar and contact items from your Nokia phone to a PC and restore it from the PC to the phone. The data can be restored only to the same phone from which it has been originally copied.
• Copy information between two Nokia phones. The items you can copy depend on the phone model. Content Copier supports several Nokia phone models but you can only copy information from a phone model to another if the target phone supports that type of information.

Note: You should back up your phone data regularly to avoid losing important data.
Copyright protections may prevent some images, ringing tones, and other content from being copied, modified, transferred, or forwarded.

To make a backup of phone contents and restore it to a phone
1. In Nokia PC Suite main window, click Backup to open Content Copier.
2. Click Next.
3. On the Select a task page select Make a backup of the phone contents to the PC. When the phone is connected to the PC all the items that can be read from the phone or written to it can be seen on the Items list on the Select data page.

4.2 Synchronising data between your NOKIA phone and the PC

With Nokia PC Sync you can synchronise contacts, calendar items, notes, to-do items, and e-mails between a Nokia mobile phone and a PC personal information manager (PIM). Synchronising means that the information on both your phone and PC is similar. Note that not all phone models support, for example, synchronising e-mails.
