PAGASA 7th Typhoon "GENER" Forecast Multiple Tracks |
PAGASA Active LPA was now Typhoon "GENER" and is sighted 240 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 11 pm July 30, 2012. Various forecast models shows that the Active LPA will become the 7th typhoon to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for 2012 and will be named GENER in the previous days.
It will enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) spreading cloudy, occasional continuous rain and thunderstorm and moderate to strong winds across eastern Luzon and Visayas which may trigger landslide and flash floods.
Fishing boats and small seacrafts are advised not to venture out across the seaboard of Luzon and Visayas.
