No To CyberCrime Law Trending on Twitter and Faces Black Protest on Facebook
The new Cyber Crime law RA-10175 will take effect on October 3, 2012 and facing a lot of protest including from netizens. Today, hash tag #NoToCyberCrimeLaw is trending on Twitter in our country and worldwide (both top1).

The protest includes the provision of online libel which can suppress netizens right to freedom of speech and expression and take down powers of DOJ to shutdown websites on a prima facie finding of violations of law even without a court order.

Earlier, Hactivist - Anonymous Philippines had been hacking and defacing government websites in protest of CyberCrime Law such as the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and other websites.

Netizens will also turn their Facebook Profile into black as a "Black Protest" against the new CyberCrime Law.
