| MyPhone Christmas Android Madness including the latest dual core A848i DUO and A919 DUO up to 37% Price Cut |
Both of them are latest 3G dual core Android phones from our local mobile brand MyPhone. I am thankful because they are 3G capable, running on affordable MediaTek dual-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Every Filipino can now enjoy faster internet, faster application and browser performance and fluid smooth graphics user interface offered by latest Android ICS.
But which of the two will you buy? Do you want the biggest, thinnest and loaded with features A919 DUO or the more affordable A848i DUO?
A848i DUO is redesigned A878 DUO (4.3" screen) to smaller screen and was made 3G capable or it is an upgraded A848 DUO (single processor).
Honestly, I like MyPhone A848i for it's higher pixel per inch or pixel density compared to A919 DUO and of course much cheaper.

Price: MyPhone A848i cost P5,990 (SRP P7,499) compared to A919 at P6,990 (SRP (9,499). A price difference of P1,500, I can buy other accessories for that amount.
Updates: as of (July 17, 2013), A848i DUO is priced at P5,990 while A919 at P6,990.
Features: Both have Dual SIM, Dual Standby, FM Radio, TV out, GPS, Motion and Proximity sensor. A919 have Light sensor, a power management tool that automatically adjust screen brightness depending on environment light plus a dual MIC noise reduction.
CPU: Both runs on 1 GHz dual-core processor
GPU: Integrated PowerVR SGX531
OS: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Screen: A848i sports a 4.0" screen while A919 DUO a much larger 5.0" screen. Both are IPS Capacitive Multi-touchscreen.
Resolution: 800x480 pixel (A848i DUO), 854x480 pixel (A919 )
Pixel per inch: A848i ppi is equal to 233 compared to 196 ppi for A919.
Camera: Both have Dual camera with LED flash and autofocus. 5 MP rear and VGA front (A848i), 8 MP rear and VGA front (A919).
RAM: Both 512 MB
Internal memory: Both 4 GB
Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB and 3G capable
Battery: A848i is rated at 1600 mAh compared to 2000 mAh for A919 DUO.
So, which is the perfect one for you? If you want bigger screen then go for MyPhone A919 DUO but if you want smaller screen like me, take the A848i.
I think both of them have the same performance because they run on the same dual core processor, same 512 RAM on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Their differences are more on physical aspect such as screen size, display, rear camera and battery.
