The "Battle of GIANT Dual-Core Android Phones" - Cherry Mobile OMEGA vs TITAN |
Since last week of January, Cherry Mobile released its first Android Jelly Bean running on dual-core processor smartphone - the OMEGA. Filipino consumers will now have a chance to try Jelly Bean OS at affordable price.
Majority of local mobile brand dual-core are running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Some of them are Cherry Mobile FLARE, MyPhone A919, A898, A888, A878 and A848i DUO, StarMobile ASTRA and CRYSTAL, Cloudfone Thrill 430x and upcoming Torque DROIDZ Atom, Blast, Motion and Life (it could be on Jelly Bean also).
Why compare Cherry Mobile OMEGA to TITAN?
There are three reason why I need to compare them, they are on the same price range, running on dual-core processor and they are the GIANTS Android Phone line up of Cherry Mobile.

Performance improvement includes (1) Touch Anticipation - JB can predict what you are going to do next depending on your fingers position (2) Triple Buffering (3) Extended vsync timing and (4) Fixed frame rate of 60 fps.
For speed test on (Samsung Galaxy Nexus), SunSpider Java and Quadrant test shows that Jelly Bean is much faster than Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition, JB looks and UI perks will definitely be your first choice than ICS.
