Previously, this LPA has a 30-50% of becoming a typhoon in the next 24 hours and will be called CRISING - the 3rd typhoon to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for 2013.
This weather disturbance is expected to bring heavy rains and thunderstorms in Mindanao particularly in Davao, Caraga and SOCCSKSARGEN which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Rainfall Volume: 5-15 mm/hr (moderate-heavy) within 300 km
LandFall: First-Southern Tip of Davao del Sur, 2nd-Zamboanga and possibly 3rd on Southern Palawan.
Distance to Land: 450 km Northwest of Zamboanga City

In 2011 and 2010 there is no typhoon on PAR for the month of January and February. In 2009, AURING (January) and BISING (February) entered our Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
