Earlier, i have posted about unlocking an android phone after getting stuck with wrong pattern attempts. But that included hard reseting of the phone. I recently discovered another way to get your phone unlocked, that too, without doing hard reset. Though, it is time consuming, and can be achieved by trial and error, but for data safety, one should rely on this method.
Also, there is a serious flaw in some android phones. Even if we enter correct Google User ID and Password, it doesn't allow to unlock the phone, and flags 'Invalid Username or Password'. This can probably due to entering of multiple accounts. The method which i have found from some other source can help to unlock phones without resetting of the phone. This method is time consuming and can be successfully done trail and error method. The steps involved are -
- Firstly, switch off your android phone, then power it on.
- Just as you pass the company logo, start tapping the home button rapidly. The rate should be, 4-5 clicks per second. Don't worry if the emergency call button pops up, click that each time it come. If, repeatedly this is done, you will notice that your phone will flash the password screen and the keypad screen a few times, and then the phone will start lagging the tapping done by you.
- If the tapping is extremely fast, after sometime, you will be inside your phone. If the stable home screen doesn't appear, it means you were slow, as the success rate for this process is very less. You need to perform trial and error.
- Then, quickly search for settings app
- Goto Accounts and Sync
- Remove all accounts except your main Google account.
- Press the power button On and Off. It will ask for Google account details. Enter correctly.
- Draw new pattern , and you are completely out of your trouble.
I think this Video may help you, get your phone unlocked by this method.
