MediaTek MT6582 vs MT6589 Quad Core Processor Specs Comparison

Lenovo A850 is powered by latest MediaTek 1.3 GHz MT6582M quad core processor based on ARM Cortex A7 and 28nm process technology. Priced at P9,999 and boosting 5.5" Capacitive display, 1 GB RAM, running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and fueled by 2,250 mAh battery - Will it have a mass appeal to Filipinos?

After MediaTek quad core MT6589 Android phones flooded the Philippine market in the 2nd quarter of 2013, from MyPhone A919i DUO to Cherry Mobile OMEGA HD 2.0 and other local brand, the released of Lenovo A850 (P9,999) marks the beginning of affordable quad core MT6582M powered droids.

So, aside from affordable dual core MT6572 Android gadgets (ex, Cherry Mobile LIFE and O+ 8.31z), Filipinos can now expect a budget friendly quad core devices.

I hope MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, StarMobile, Cloudfone, Torque, SKK Mobile and Arc Mobile will release MT6582M powered Android smartphones in the coming months or before Christmas season.

Lets compare the two MediaTek SoC.
