PAGASA sighted Low Pressure Area (LPA), now developed and intensified into tropical STORM, 500 km East of Northeast of Hinatuan Surigao del Sur as of 10 am January 31, 2014.
Previous LPA has a HIGH chance of becoming a typhoon in 24 hours and once developed, it will be called "BASYANG" - the second typhoon to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for 2014.

Possible Landfall: Southern Leyte - Northern Tip of Surigao del Norte late tonight or early tomorrow morning .
Rainfall Volume: 5-15 mm/hr (moderate - heavy) within 400 km.
Distance to Land: 500 km East of Northeast of Hinatuan Surigao del Sur
