PAGASA sighted the 3rd typhoon to enter PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) at 330 km East Northeast of Davao City as of 11 am March 21, 2014.
Tropical Depression "CALOY" was previously an LPA (Low Pressure Area) and has slightly accelerated as it moves closer to Surigao del Sur and Davao Oriental area.
Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal#1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Fishing boats and small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon and eastern seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon due to Northeast Monsoon.
