PAGASA sighted the 15th typhoon to enter PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) at 1080 km East of Tuguegarao City as of 10 am, October 8, 2014.

Typhoon "OMPONG" is too far to affect any part of the country. However it is enhancing the northeasterly wind resulting to rough to very rough sea conditions over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon.
