Project Jacquard's tactile fabrics are now real

Project Jacquard, tactile fabrics are now real. The team of Google ATAP -Advanced Technology and Projects - wants to revolutionize the way we interact with our environment. This is not new, but Google just introduced interactive textiles, a challenge for the new technologies industry, but also the global fashion industry.

The ATAP team created two things. First, a common thread, able to withstand the stresses of industrial manufacture of clothing. Second, they designed a chip that can retrieve and interpret the signals from the conductors son.

Moreover, no need to have physical contact with the garment in the demonstrations, it was enough to approach the fingers to interact. That's what it is, Project Jacquard.

Now that the technology is ready, Google is creating an ecosystem. During the keynote of Google I / O, Google announced a major partnership with Levi's, a strategic partner.

Although this is not the beginning, Google absolutely does not confine its advances in its own laboratories. Levi's is a brand of ready-to-wear widely recognized and supported worldwide.
