This drop test is not gratuitous violence (though) but a real life test to check the strength of the HTC phone. The terminal is compared to the iPhone 5 in the drop test, simply because the two products have an aluminum unibody. Three tests are performed, a pocket height fall, at shoulder level and finally at head height. Three falls that might actually happen in everyday life.
