Will Nokia return in the smartphone market? For the answer to this question, it will probably take until 2016 because at the moment, the manufacturer can not use the Nokia brand on smartphones and basic phones. This is due to a deal with Microsoft, which is part of the acquisition of its division that produces mobile by the Redmond company.
However, rumors (and interpretations) already suggests that Nokia will return in this market when the agreement expires.
There are few days, sources had indicated that Nokia intends to develop new smartphones via a unit called Nokia Technologies that would have a high potential in terms of R & D and is already behind products like the Z-Launcher or N1 tablet.
And more recently, media reported that Nokia China CEO reportedly confirmed the Asian SCDaily website that the company actually plans to return to the arena with Android smartphones, which will be produced in China.
For now, it is only rumors and even Nokia has responded with a statement relayed by Reuters. "Nokia noted some recent reports claiming that the company would release an intention to produce mobile to consumers for an R & D facility in China. These reports are incorrect [...]. Nokia reiterated it currently has no plans to manufacture or sell mobile for consumers. "
After, this does not necessarily mean that all is lost. Perhaps the company wants to discrete time on it since 2016, is still relatively far away. In all, what is certain is that even slashed its Devices & Services unit, the manufacturer has yet been able to release an Android tablet N1 (which was manufactured by the Taiwanese Foxconn).
