Restore & Change IMEI for Redmi Note 3

Heard and giving a lending hand to friends who somehow lost their IMEI no. during flashing of their ROM due to wrong setting on the flashing tools. Moral of the story, stick strictly to the handbook for flashing, to avoid a unnecessary episode. No worries, I have actually reconstructed the scenario of a losing the IMEI numbers.

What you need?

Get your box ready, and locate your IMEI which is on the sticker behind your box. Don’t bother to look elsewhere, cos our battery compartment is sealed. LOL…

Launch the Dialer and key-in *#*#3646633#*#* and you will enter the Engineering Mode, as shown below:-

In the Engineering Mode, just Swipe to the heading “Connectivity” section, Click “CDS Information” > Radio Information > Phone 1, as shown below:-

Enter the command string accordingly, as follows:-

AT+EGMR=1,7, Enter SIM1 IMEI number and click “SEND AT COMMAND” button, as shown below:-

Note : - Space after AT and  = and IMEI inside Double Quotes

AT+EGMR= 1,7,"???????????????"

Since, Redmi Note 3 is dual-sim, press back button once, and tap on Phone 2, type the AT string accordingly, as follows:-

AT+EGMR=1,10, Enter SIM2 IMEI number and click “SEND AT COMMAND” button, as shown below:-

Note : - Space after AT and  = and IMEI inside Double Quotes

AT+EGMR= 1,7,"???????????????"

Just reboot your phone, and you should be done.
