The Mi Fit app can get buggy sometimes and it stops syncing your Mi Band. Simply unpairing and pairing it back resolved the Mi Band connect failed error. So a suggestion to check and turn off Bluetooth on all your nearby devices except your phone which has MiFit installed. Now try to pair the band. Method: Remove all paired/saved Bluetooth devices from your smartphone
- Go to settings >> Bluetooth
- Tap on the gear icon next to each saved Bluetooth device (including MiBand)
- Select “Forget”
- Now uninstall Mi Fit app
- Download and reinstall Mi Fit and sign in

After completing above steps you should be able to pair and sync your Mi Band to your smartphone. You can also try pairing your device later in the night when there are less people around with Bluetooth enabled devices.
