How to fix unfortunately Touchwiz home has stopped error in Galaxy S5, S6 & S7




Samsung uses the Touchwiz UI which is a very intuitive and colorful user interface with loads of user experiencing enhancing features. Method 1: Wipe cache partition

  1. Turn off your smartphone
  2. Hold power, volume up and home button at once
  3. Now when you see the blue screen release the buttons
  4. In the recovery menu, use volume keys to select “wipe cache partition”
  5. Press power button to wipe cache partition
  6. Now go back and select “reboot system”

Method 2: Turn off motions and gestures


  1. Go to settings >> Motions and gestures
  2. Disable or turn off all the options

Method 3: Set Animation scale “5x to 5x”

  1. Go to Settings >> More >> About device
  2. Now tap the “build number” several times until you see the notification that “developer options enabled”
  3. Now go to settings >> developer option >> Windows Animation scale
  4. Select “5x to 5x”


Method 4: Install a different launcher

Because the Touchwiz launcher is glitching, you may want to install a different launcher. Please note that you may lose some user interface features while installing third party launchers.
