Fitbit announces Flex 2 and Charge 2 starting at $99 and $149

Fitbit announced two new products on Monday, including the Fitbit Flex 2 and the Fitbit Charge 2. There aren’t many surprises, but we did learn about the pricing.

The Fitbit Charge 2, which packs a heart rate monitor, a connected GPS, support for smartphone notifications, sleep tracking, guided breathing sessions and an OLED screen, will start at $149.95. Fitbit offers two-year protection plans for $34.99 per device, which can boost the price. Four colors are available, including two special edition options.

The Fitbit Flex 2 should be a compelling wearable for swimmers thanks to its water-proof design and swim-tracking features. It’s capable of alerting a user of call and text notifications, automatically records exercises and can be outfitted with a range of interchangeable accessories. It starts at $99.95 and is available in four colors.
