If for any reason you are seeing the message on your iphone that “iPhone is Disabled Connect to iTunes” then there is probably no way it can be unlocked from phone itself.
So if your iphone is disabled and asking to connect to iTunes than for sure you will have to opt for apple recovery mechanism i.e. using iTunes or iCloud. This will erase the data and you will have to restore the data from backup. Doing this from iTunes is very easy as it is simple and trouble free. If you want to use iCloud you should have Apple ID and password with you. So, iTunes seems to be simpler.
But before jumping to use these steps I would like to discuss an easy workaround or tips to fix “iPhone is Disabled Connect to iTune” issue:
First Connect your iphone to iTunes
Right Click on iPhone-on left pane
Click on Backup
Right Click on iPhone-on left pane
Click on Backup
It will say "iphones is locked with passcode, please try again later"
Now this time you should be able to enter your screen lock passcode of iphone.
Enter your passcode and then It will Unlock. :)

But still of for some reason above mentioned tip does not work you can try to iTunes to recover as given in below steps:
iTune method :
Considering you have the iPhone passcode and have taken the backup recently, you can simply unlock the device with iTunes though it requires a restore:
1. Connect the iPhone to a computer it has synced to before with a USB cable and launch iTunes
2. Choose “Sync” in iTunes and enter the proper passcode when requested to unlock the device, this backs up the iPhone to the computer
3. Choose “Restore” to restore the iPhone from the most recent backup
Tip:
In case your phone is not getting recognized from iTunes you can use recovery mode

iCloud method :
Login to you iCloud account to erase the data. Here are the steps –
1. Sign in with your Apple ID and password
2. Choose your iPhone from All My Devices drop-down menu
3. Choose Erase iPhone
4. Choose Restore from iCloud backup
There’s more to “iPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes” than just using iTunes/iCloud. You have to set up your iPhone all over again
