Change or Remove Credit Card info from Apple ID (Simple Method!)



Remove credit card info from Apple ID in case you have kids at home and you want to avoid accidental in-app purchases. You can also update your existing Credit Card information by using some simple steps. So, watch this step-by-step tutorial to remove or change credit card information using iPhone and iTunes.

➤ S T E P S:
(to remove or change Apple ID payment information)

➤ M E T H O D - 1:
(Use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch)

1. Launch 'App Store' on your iPhone. Scroll down till the end.
2. Tap your 'Apple ID'
3. Then tap 'View Apple ID'. Input your password or use Touch ID.
4. Tap 'Payment Information'.
(If you're using Family Sharing, only your family organizer can update the payment information.)
5. Change your payment information by selecting respective credit card and to remove your payment method, select 'None'.
6. Tap 'Done' at top right hand corner.
7. Again tap 'Done' at top right hand corner.
8. That's all. You are ready to use your Apple ID without credit card info or updated credit card info.

➤ M E T H O D - 2:
(Use your Mac or PC)

1. Launch iTunes on your Mac or PC.
2. Go to main menu bar and choose 'Account'.
3. Then choose 'View My Account'.
4. Enter your password, then press the Return or Enter key on your keyboard.
5. To the right of 'Payment Type', click 'Edit'.
(If you're using Family Sharing, only your family organizer can update the payment information.)
6. Change your payment information by selecting respective credit card and to remove your payment method, select 'None'.
7. Tap 'Done' at bottom right hand corner.
8. Again tap 'Done' at bottom right hand corner.
9. That's all. You are ready to use your Apple ID without credit card info or updated credit card info.

➤ E R R O R R E S O L U S I O N :

If you can ‘t choose 'None' while changing or removing Apple ID payment information, following could be one of the reason:

1. you have an unpaid balance or payment due
2. you have a subscription that automatically renews
3. you're using the iTunes Store or App Store for the first time
4. you changed your country or region recently
5. you're a part of Family Sharing
